Cas and I went to the coast today. It was rockin'. Tybee Island is a quiet little fishing/tourist town with a lot of lovin'. We stopped off at the Tybee Island Lighthouse museum, which is right next to an old WW II fort with a big gun out front. We climbed the 178 steps of the lighthouse and took in the view. It was amazing. We met some people up there and did the complimentary, "Can you take our picture?" thing. We could see the whole island almost and, when the crowds broke a little, we could see Hilton Head island off in the distance. Then, we decided to go get seafood. We are about out of there before an old lady insisted we check out some of the other "historic" houses. We did a quick walk through and got out of there. Quick. Hey, we were hungry. We went to Sting Ray's Seafood and it took it. I had a Grouper Po' Boy sandwich and Cas had the Grouper plate. Both were delicious. After that, we hit the beach and sauntered on down the coast until we got tired and then sat back and did a little reading. A Coast Guard helicopter flew by, which was cool. The water was utterly frigid but we danced in it anyway. It was our duty.
We came back and did a little shopping. Now, we're going to relax and get all gussied up for this evening.
Oh, here are some more pictures. Enjoy!
